Today I posted several more of my Halloween collages bringing the total up to 5, a number requiring blogging. My Halloween collages are made on 4.5x6 inch by 1/4 inch thick plywood. I take images of my mother as a young girl alone and with her family and alter them with silly hat or outfits. Some earn text! I then make a paper collage of vintage images and di cut shapes of current paper and other found halloween based items. Glow in the dark glitter was used on several of the college pieces & look very cute glowing in the dark. Each collage is topped off with a hanger accented with a raffia or satin bow and wooden beads.
I am a transplanted NY'er (state, not city) living on the small part of NH that touches the ocean. I'm an occupational therapist by day & a self taught artist by night. As an artist I am just discovering & accepting some of my talents. I have a very sarcastic & dry sense of humor... & believe in all things magical. I was once told, "You will always remain beautiful if you smile," so I make sure I am most of the time.

I draw inspiration from all things spiritual &/or magical including: eastern philosophies & religions, nature & life in NH (especially the ocean), the Universe, ancient civilizations (Egypt), anatomy, magical beings (fairies, mermaids), The Beatles, "The Lion King," mantras & personal affirmations & above all else... LOVE.
